Specifications include, but are not limited to: A high degree of knowledge, experience and ability with the following planning activities: • NJ Municipal Land Use Law; • Master Plan Elements and Master Plan Reexaminations; • Redevelopment planning and strong familiarity with preparing redevelopment plans in accordance with the NJ Local Redevelopment and Housing Law; • Familiar with Council of Affordable Housing (COAH) programs and Regional Contribution Agreements Plan Review Zoning conformance, positive and negative criteria for a variance and calculation of appropriate development fees; • Familiarity with resiliency and sustainability planning; • Experience in preparation of planning of municipal master plan and enacting ordinances • Knowledge of the City and its operations • Satisfy all other requirements as set forth by New Jersey state law and City of Linden Municipal Ordinance Licensed as a professional planner by the State of NJ for a minimum of five (5) years Recognized by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Coordinate compliance reports and requirements for all funding awards both at the State and Federal level Prepare all necessary environmental documents, guidelines when required in order to meet funding agency standards to receive reimbursement Manage outside consultants, specifically for transportation and economic development projects, in order to expedite project implementation and meet all funding requirements from multiple grant awards.
