Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1 The SYSTEM must support the acquisition, management, storage, quality assurance/quality control, analysis, and reporting of water quality data collected by various means. 2.1.2 The SYSTEM must include an interactive GIS mapping component as a common core map for all monitoring and sampling sites. 2.1.3 The SYSTEM must grant users role-based user authentication and access. Each user’s role and authentication will be defined by the groups to which they are assigned, and by the roles they play in the department. Users will range from inquiry users with limited options, to users with full authority to access data, add, change and delete data. Preferably, user IDs and passwords will be used by users to gain access to the SYSTEM with the privileges allowed in the users’ profiles. 2.1.4 The SYSTEM must include a documented Application Protocol Interface (API) to allow for data sharing and integration with other systems in use at the DEPARTMENT. 2.1.5 The DEPARTMENT must retain ownership of all data in the SYSTEM and have the capability to retrieve this data at any time and in any format to be determined by the DEPARTMENT and at no additional cost to the DEPARTMENT. 2.1.6 The SYSTEM must to adhere to industry best practices for data security and disaster recovery. 2.1.7 The SYSTEM must comply with State of Nevada and DEPARTMENT IT standards.
