Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1.1 Update and/or replace the current NCJIS solution to a modern technology environment. This upgrade will allow RCCD users to perform work in a more efficient manner and implement more automated processes. It will provide a modern graphical user interface (GUI) that is more familiar and intuitive to today’s computer users. The upgraded NCJIS solution will also be more configurable and more responsive to changing requirements, including new statutes. 1.1.2 Move criminal justice applications from the tightly woven and interdependent MSS technology and moved to a combination of vendor-supported systems. Many of the applications supporting the RCCD’s criminal records and background check processes are written in software from a singular vendor, NorSoft Consulting, and are tightly integrated with the law enforcement MSS (JLink). These systems will be integrated via the implementation of a middleware solution. This will appropriately guarantee the availability, security, and future of the software applications for the following units by improving quality, decreasing redundant data re-entry, cutting errors, reducing paper handling and introducing document management and workflow: 1.1.2.1 Fingerprint (FP) Support Civil Unit 1.1.2.2 Criminal Records Unit 1.1.2.3 CNC Program 1.1.2.4 POC Firearms Program 1.1.2.5 Accounts Receivable (Fiscal)
