Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Construction equipment will be allowed to travel in one direction only during asphalt and concrete paving operations to minimize conflicts with local traffic. At all times, local access along the closed highway US-34 shall be maintained in the 12-foot lane and 8-foot shoulder not under construction for both eastbound and westbound. Access to driveways and intersections shall be maintained in accordance with the plans and contract documents. The Contractor may close two (2) intersections at any given time in Bradshaw if property access can be maintained from another intersection. Access to the Road E intersection and the York Municipal Airport Intersection shall always be maintained . 2. The Contractor shall conduct construction operations to eliminate construction equipment operating on the surfaced shoulders. Haul trucks will not be permitted to drive on the surfaced shoulders. Any damage done by the Contractor to the surfaced shoulders shall be repaired by the Contractor at no cost to the NDOT. 3. The exception to not allowing haul trucks on surfaced shoulders: Haul trucks will be permitted to use part of the surfaced shoulder to drive around the paver. 4. The mainline shall be milled to a depth of 2 inches and a total width of 26 feet, 14 feet width in the first direction and 12-feet width in the second direction, this creates a 12- inch gap on each side to facilitate the placement of 6-inch Concrete Pavement. The 12- inch gap shall be cleaned of all loose material and debris prior to: A. Placement of 6-inch Concrete Pavement. B. Placement of Asphaltic Concrete Type SPS.
