Specifications include, but are not limited to: One of the key roles of the LFC is to engage families and prepare them to participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the SOC efforts. Additionally, the LFC facilitates family voice and involvement at all levels of the SOC initiative. The LFC will provide teaching/education in group settings (families, community members, professionals) and will need the ability to work with diverse stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaborations across systems, families, and youth. The LFC will provide support and technical assistance to promote a family-driven and youth-guided SOC. The LFC will facilitate and oversee ongoing implementation of standards for supporting equal partnership for children, youth, and family participation in SOC activities; and ensure that the SOC provides services in accordance with a family- driven and youth-guided approach. Requirements of the SOC specific to the LFC are: 1. Within three (3) months of the contract start date and ongoing monthly, facilitate Family Advisory Council monthly meetings. 2. Within three (3) months of the contract start date and thereafter, work with the Training Work Team, DBH, and other stakeholders to ensure the SOC workforce training incorporates elements which address assurances that the delivery of services and supports are provided in a youth guided and family driven matter. On an ongoing monthly basis, provide a report to DBH which details how these efforts are being accomplished. 3. Within three (3) months of the contract start date and ongoing monthly, review recommendations of the SOC work teams, implementation committee and Leadership Board to ensure they reflect the SOC Values and principles with special attention to ensuring they are reflective of a youth-guided and family-driven system. On an ongoing monthly basis, provide a report to DBH which details how these efforts are being accomplished. 4. Within three (3) months of the contract start date and ongoing monthly, document standards for best practice for youth-guided and family-driven services developed and implemented. 5. Work with the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Lead, Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) and other stakeholders to ensure implementation of the identified and recommend standards for recruitment, hiring and retention of workforce that is culturally and linguistically representative of the communities and populations being served. 6. Work with Training Lead to identify and develop training on SOC services and supports for parents, caregivers, and childcare providers. 7. Review work in coordination with the five (5) SOC work teams to ensure youth and family voice is reflected/represented. 8. Participate in the evaluation of the SOC efforts and provide recommendations to the SOC Implementation Committee. 9. Work with the Training Lead, DBH, Office of Consumer Affairs, and other identified stakeholders to develop or identify training materials to assist youth and families in SOC advocacy and leadership development. 10. Work with the Training Lead, DBH, Office of Consumer Affairs, and other identified stakeholders to provide training and consultation to youth and families as requested in SOC advocacy and leadership development.
