Specifications include, but are not limited to: Douglas County is seeking a secure, paper-shredding (cross shredding) contract for variouslocations in the Omaha area. On-site and off-site shredding services are requireddepending on each location’s needs. Contractor will provide containers upon the request of each departmentat no cost to Douglas County.Locations may be added or deleted during the life of the agreement. Shredding must be accomplished on a regular schedule or on an as-needed basis. Schedules shall be mutually agreed upon by the Contractorand the department involved.For On-Site Shredding: the Contractormust pick up the documents from theidentified location, destroy them completelyon-site, and provide the departmentwith a Certificate of Destruction and weight ticket prior to leaving the site. The Contractormust have the ability to invoice each departmenteither monthly or upon completion of service. A copy of all weight tickets will be sent to the Douglas CountyPurchasing Department.Purchasing or a department representative designated by Purchasing will call for services as needed or set up schedules.All new accounts or special shredding services must be authorized by the Purchasing Department.
