May 30, 2019. The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide all labor, materials, required insurance, equipment, expertise, trades, permits and the means of work to perform the wood siding restoration including painting and repair at the Stoney Creek Schoolhouse located at the City of Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1051 Washington Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48306.
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division, 1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309, or submitted online through the MITN website until 3:00 p.m. local time on June 18, 2019, at which time and place proposer’s names will be publicly read aloud. Late submittals will not be accepted. Faxed proposals will not be accepted.
Please visit the City of Rochester Hills’ website at www.rochesterhills.org for information on Construction Projects and allow adequate time when delivering items to the City. The City reserves the right to postpone the due date for its own convenience. Proposals are considered received when in the possession of the Purchasing Division at the due date and time.
A Voluntary Walk-Through will be held on June 6, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. beginning at the City of Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm Stoney Creek Schoolhouse, 1051 Washington Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48306 to become familiar with the premises specified, provide a forum for questions/answers and the work to be performed according to the contract and specifications. This will be the only opportunity for contractors to have access to the facility. Attendance at the Walk-Through is not mandatory in order to submit a proposal.
Questions are to be directed to the buyer of record, Keri Bright, CPPB, Procurement Analyst via email at brightk@rochesterhills.org Questions regarding the proposal must be made in writing prior to June 7, 2019 @ 11:30 a.m., at which time a response will be prepared and a notice posted on the MITN website as an amendment, or an addendum to the proposal, if such information would be of significance to uninformed proposers. Questions received after the date and time above will not be considered. Only the person designated above is authorized to seek additional information from prospective firms regarding their Proposal. Correspondence or inquiries made directly to firms regarding their Proposal from other persons are to be directed to the employee designated above for appropriate review and response.
The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes proposal documents from the Purchasing Division or through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of proposal documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain proposal documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting www.mitn.info to link to the MITN website. When an award is made a notice will be posted on the MITN website. Any deviation from the specifications must be noted on the proposal.
The submission of a proposal shall be considered evidence that the proposer is satisfied with respect to the conditions encountered, and the character, quantity and quality of the work to be performed. All submitted prices shall remain in effect for at least ninety (90) days from the date of the opening.
