Description

Scope of work (Contract) includes wrapping / encapsulation, removal and disposal of floor tile and pipe insulation that contain asbestos containing material (ACM) at designated areas and to include all related inspections/certifications throughout the City of Monroe Water Treatment Plant.
The scope also includes the removal of all mastic/adhesive and any grinding / leveling to the existing concrete floors with the end result being a smooth surface for painting. Painting is not part of this project. The mastic/adhesive does not contain ACM.
Contractor shall be licensed within the State of Michigan for asbestos abatement. Licensee shall undertake direct obligations relating to the identification, abatement, wrapping/encapsulation, cleanup, control, removal and disposal of (ACM) within the work areas identified by the owner. Consistent with applicable Laws, contractor shall provide certification for work completed.
An onsite walkthrough of the Water Treatment Plant Facility is required for a Contractor’s bid to be accepted. Call Chris Knight, WTP Superintendent, at (734) 241-5947 to schedule appointment.
