Description

The City of Garden City is soliciting RFPs for a sign for the front lawn of Garden City City Hall (6000 Middlebelt Road) that combines static information and a high resolution/high definition LED video/message board.

The sign is to fit on the approximate footprint of the current sign (13ft wide by 6ft tall) and may be placed in the current location or a similar location as agreed upon by the City and the vendor. The current sign and all brick work will be removed by the City.

Included in this RFP below is very rough draft of a sign. This sign, without any supporting columns or legs, is approximately 9ft by 5ft. The purpose of this drawing is to identify static content for the sign and approximate location and is not to be considered a firm recommendation of design.

Vendor will be responsible for all aspects of installation, including any electrical upgrades that may be necessary. A new 100 amp service has been installed on the front lawn of City Hall of which 40 amps have been allocated for this project.

Potential vendors will be required to attend a pre-bid meeting on Friday, April 6 at 10am before submitting a bid at Garden City City Hall, 6000 Middlebelt, Garden City, MI 48135.

Project shall be completed by June 1, 2018

Deadline for Submittal:
Sealed responses to this RFP must be received no later than 10 a.m. on April 18, 2018. Mark outside of envelope "City Hall Sign and Message Board". Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. Bids may not be submitted via fax or email.

Number of Copies and Mailing Address:
Applicants must submit three (3) hard copies, one of which must be a marked as a signed original, to the City of Garden City, Clerk's Office, 6000 Middlebelt, Garden City, MI 48135. The application should be assembled so that it follows a logical and consistent format. All materials should 8 1/2 x 11". Fold-outs, brochures, photographs, etc., should all be formatted to these guidelines.
