Description

Emmet County is soliciting proposals from providers of a Shallow Water Boat and accessories to provide the County with the purchase and familiarization training of the Shallow Water Boat for border protection and law enforcement purposes. The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office employs Deputies as well as an Underwater Search and Rescue Team to operate in all weather conditions and water environments. The Sheriff’s Office seeks to obtain a Shallow Water Boat with commercial grade capabilities to utilize during border protection. In addition, this craft will be utilized in search and rescue operations, recovery operations, criminal investigations and all other appropriate missions whereas traditional watercraft and PWC’s cannot maneuver. The Sheriff’s Office is familiar with and recognizes a Shallow Water Boat as the desired Boat to operate in specific conditions.
