Description: Work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of furnishing and applying waterborne and thermoplastic pavement markings, and milled rumble warning areas as specified herein at locations throughout the City of Taylor as designated by the City. The City will provide maps indicating the locations of where and what work shall be performed. The waterborne pavement markings shall consist of lane lines, center lines and edge lines. The thermoplastic pavement markings shall consist of stop bars, crosswalks and crosswalk hatching, railroad symbols, and directional arrows. At most locations the work will consist of applying new waterborne or thermoplastic paint to existing, worn or faded pavement markings. There may be new pavement marking locations as part of this Contract. Prepare pavement surfaces and apply white or selectively colored waterborne and thermoplastic pavement markings. Complete the work according to these Specifications, Section 811. Permanent Pavement Markings of the 2012 Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and any project plans or as directed by the Engineer.
