ITB-CAH 10-18-2019.002 - Park Pavilion

The City of Auburn Hills is seeking bids for 24' x 36' +/- clear span wood pavilion with one peice tapered laminated beams (or equivalent), wooden columns, and all necessary assembly hardware.  

Structure Details
Note: All proposed structures and components submitted as part of this bid, must meet or exceed The 2015 Michigan Building Codes for park pavilions. Pricing must include stamped drawings approved by a state certified engineer.  
Trusses- must be one piece engineered, laminated, wood beams (or equivalent) from pressure treated #1 southern yellow pine or equivalent for rot resistance. Trusses must provide a minimum of 10 feet of center clearance over finished concrete surface. Truss configuration shall not provide horizontal surfaces that will allow the nesting of birds. 
Columns- must be pressure treated engineered laminated treated southern yellow pine(or equivalent). Columns must be sized to provide a minimum of 8 feet of clearance over finish concrete surface.
Roof Decking- roof decking boards must be pressure treated 2” x 8” tongue and groove #1 grade southern yellow pine or equivalent for rot resistance. Boards must be evenly cut and kiln dried.
Roof Fascia- must be pressure treated 2” x 6” #1 grade southern yellow pine or equivalent for rot resistance.
Construction Hardware- All fasteners, connection plates must be sized to meet or exceed local building codes. All fasteners shall be approved for outdoor applications. Connection plates and hardware shall be primed and painted or galvanized.
