Dated: October 31, 2017. The City of Rochester Hills is soliciting proposals from professional
contracting companies to perform on-call HVAC/heating/air conditioning maintenance services
at various City buildings and sites for a two (2) year term, with an option to renew for an
additional one (1) year period. The heating and air conditioning services required by the City of
Rochester Hills are for facilities located throughout the City. These include, but are not limited
to, park sites, fire department substations (other than Fire Station #1), museum facilities and
precinct buildings. The heating and air conditioning equipment are residential type units with
the majority being Comfortmaker or Lenox.
Note: The Rochester Hills City Hall, Department of Public Service Garage, and Fire Station #1
are not included in this contract.
Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Rochester Hills, at the Purchasing Division,
1000 Rochester Hills Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 or submitted online through the MITN
website until 3:00 p.m. local time, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at which time and place
proposers names will be publicly read aloud. The City reserves the right to postpone the due
date for its own convenience. Late submittals will not be accepted. Please visit the City of
Rochester Hills’ website at www.rochesterhills.org for Construction Updates/Alerts and allow
adequate time when delivering items to the City.

Inquiries received after the date and time above will not be considered. Please be aware that
contact with any other personnel (other than the person clearly identified in this document)
within the City of Rochester Hills regarding this RFP may disqualify your company from further
consideration.
The City of Rochester Hills officially distributes bid documents from the Purchasing Division or
through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of bid documents
obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who
obtain bid documents from either the Purchasing Division or the MITN System are guaranteed
access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. The first step to do
business with the City is to become a registered vendor by visiting the City website at

Registration to link to the MITN website. When an award is made and a notice will be posted on

Any deviation from the specifications must be noted on the proposal.
