The Charter Township of Orion is requesting proposals from qualified firms/persons to provide creative/design services for a community magazine.
Services must include layout, design, and creative elements for a community magazine.
Proofs are required on all printing jobs.
1. Our graphic files:
We supply can PDFs, word documents, and/or upload to a template
2. Images:
The designer may need to create graphics and/or advertisements, use stock photography, use supplied images, supplied advertisements and edit copy in order to fill the layout and create a visually pleasing read.
Proposals should be organized to address the specific tasks identified. Proposers are encouraged to recommend modifications to these tasks or to identify any additional services that are seen as necessary or desirable to provide a quality product.
3. Community Magazine Printing Specifications:
· Quantity – 25,000
· # of pages - 48
· Paper type – 60# gloss text
· Cover pages – 4 (front and back of outside cover)
· Cover type – 80# gloss cover
· Frequency – Published and mailed quarterly
· Proof – digital
· Ink – Four-color printing
4. Timeline:
The designer will be responsible for coordinating the project timeline, ensuring that the project stays on track, and meeting required print and mailing dates. After final approval from the Charter Township of Orion, the designer will provide design files to the commercial printer according to the printer’s specifications.
5. Publishing:
The Charter Township of Orion will retain ownership of all work produced including graphic design output. The designer will provide the Charter Township of Orion with a PC compatible document as well as an electronic version for publication on the Orion Township and our collaborators websites.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Charter Township of Orion is seeking professional services from a qualified graphic designer or firm to establish a cost-effective working relationship. The relationship will be of the highest quality, with flexibility for quick turnaround times and changes to materials provided.
REPRESENTATION
The vendor must have an assigned customer service representative available to the Township. This representative should be responsible for communicating with Township personnel, assisting in all aspects of the design process and ensuring deadlines.
SAMPLES
Vendors are requested to supply with their proposal at least one (1) sample from jobs previously produced.
