The City of Auburn Hills is seeking responses from qualified vendors to provide and install golf cart GPS units on 88 carts. The proposal shall include all necessary equipment, software, and training. The lease contract will be for a period of three (3) years. The following document outlines the nature and scope of the services requested and provides a brief summary for the City of Auburn Hills and Fieldstone Golf course.
Initial Installation, up-front fees, and other charges for the system shall be included in a flat monthly fee per fleet of 88 golf cars.
Unit shall be compatible with Club Car “Tempo” electric golf cars. Units shall be installed without permanent damage to the car or undue drain on the battery. System shall not inhibit the required maintenance or operational aspects to the facility or the user in any way. Attachment to multiple batteries, rather than a single battery is desired.
At a minimum the system shall include the controller, radio network control system, or digital, WIFI based. Mapping and plotting GPS information and course material shall be included in the installation and include complete hole-by-hole layouts with descriptive playing options or visual of all hazards, out of bounds, and property lines.
Unit shall have a minimum screen size of 5” x 4” x 1”.
Unit shall have interactive player option buttons or touch screen capability.
Unit shall provide cart tracking for golf shop viewing (integrated into Shop’s computer system) location of carts. Cloud capabilities would be preferred.
Unit shall include messaging, pace of play clock, multiple yardages to front, center, back of greens.
Lessor shall repair or replace non-functional equipment at no cost to the City.
Training shall be provided to designated golf staff in the operation and daily care of the system. It shall also include assistance in system launch.
System shall be upgradeable. Annual service upgrades shall be included at no extra cost during entire lease period.
System shall have automatic shut off to conserve drain on battery.
Time tracking capabilities for pace of play.
Tournament programming.
Fleet tracking.
Player usage information to include two-way messaging; weather alerts, emergency assistance, etc.
Advertising Feature: GPS units should include an advertising feature. Lessor will be responsible for upload of advertisements sold by the City of Auburn Hills. Advertisements shall be uploaded within five (5) days of receiving final version. The City of Auburn Hills reserves the right to sell 100% of advertising space available. The City of Auburn Hills shall collect 100% or the proceeds for all ads sold and placed on GPS. The City of Auburn Hills will provide all artwork and advertising material in a workable format to be posted by Lessor
