ADVANCE NOTICE

The Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) plans to issue a Request for Bids (RFB) during early March 2020. The purpose of the RFB is to solicit bids for the Decommissioning and Demolition of Buildings 352 (electrical utility building), 354 (electrical transformer building) and 358 (former Airport Police Building), and Underground Storage Tank Removal located at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). The scope of work includes final asbestos abatement and decommissioning of each structure, the removal of all designated building foundations/footings, as well as, the backfill, grading and restoration of the Project sites. Buildings 352, 354 and 358 are located east of the airport airfield on Middlebelt Road. All of the structures are currently located outside of the Air Operations Area (AOA) fence line.
