Must have experience in the maintenance and operation of steam powered railroad locomotives, wooden railroad passenger coaches, passenger and freight railroad car trucks, diesel-electric railroad locomotives, steam boilers, steam powered air compressors, steam powered electrical generators, antique steam powered sawmill, antique steam powered cider press, antique water powered gristmill, antique Parker carousel, antique Parker wheel, antique pony rides, antique miniature train rides.
To maintain and repair these items, the Contractor must have experience with metal and woodworking equipment, including Horizontal Mill, Bridgeport Vertical Mill, various metal lathes, MIG welders, AC/DC stick welders, Oxy/Acetylene torches, mortising equipment, wood shapers, table and radial arm saws, wood planers, wood jointers, drill press, band saw, threading machine, threading utilizing a metal lathe, wheel press, plasma cutter, metal break, whiting screw jacks.
Contractor also possesses the ability to operate a tractor-loader backhoe, sky track forklift, skid steer loader and wheel loader.
In addition, Contractor holds the knowledge of wood species and their applications in antique railroad equipment and building restoration projects.
