Oakland Schools intends to award a contract to the most qualified vendor for the purposes of providing catering and café services at Oakland Schools Administration Building located at 2111 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, Michigan. It is our intent that this prime vendor will have exclusive rights to all catering activity in this building though Oakland Schools reserves the right to assign occasional events to other catering firms. Catering Services may also be requested for other Oakland Schools’ buildings as well as other training locations throughout Oakland County (See Section V: Specifications).
It is the intent of Oakland Schools that the catering & café services operation will:

- Provide high quality, nutritious food service, to complement and enhance our professional development opportunities.
- Be distinguished by very high satisfaction of Oakland Schools’ employees, workshop participants, clients renting the professional development center and other guests.
- Provide employees and guests in our building with Café services to obtain cash and carry breakfast and lunch items.
- Provide an office coffee program.

The Board of Education of Oakland Schools, 2111 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, MI 48328 is accepting proposals for Catering and Café Services in accordance with the attached specifications. All proposals shall be received no later than March 24, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., local time as established by the U.S. Atomic Digital clock (http://nist.time.gov). It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to ensure their proposal reaches Oakland Schools on or before the closing date and hour as indicated. Proposals submitted late or via oral, electronic mail or by facsimile will NOT be accepted. All late proposals will be rejected and destroyed after ten (10) days, unless otherwise notified to return to the Bidder, at the Bidder’s expense.

A pre-proposal meeting and walk-through will be held March 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakland Schools, 2111 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, MI 48328. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the project, answer any questions concerning the RFP and to walk through the facilities. It is strongly suggested that each interested party attends this meeting.
