Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified firms or persons to provide Veterinary Services for the City of Springfield Animal Shelter. 3.2.2.1 The veterinarian will administer only basic care to all injured or sick animals brought to their clinic. If more extensive care is required, the veterinarian will consult with Animal Control to determine if the animal should be treated or euthanized. 3.2.2.2 If an owner is located for an animal currently being treated at the veterinarian clinic, the veterinarian staff should try to collect all medical charges due on the animal from its owner, once the animal is released from Animal Control. 3.2.2.3 The veterinarian will come to the shelter at least once a week to do a visual inspection of the animals, and perform appropriate medical services including, but not limited to, administration of a rabies vaccine to all animals available for adoption.
