Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation and other means necessary for the condition assessment and repair of Independence Power & Light (IPL) Substation “M’ Transformer 1. The assessment will include checking the main oil tank and the tap changer oil tank for leaks. If leaks are found, the repair will need to be completely made using contractor supplied materials. If the board between is needed, the contractor will already have it located and a delivery time known. To properly do the repair the oil will need to be removed and stored on site, processed and returned to the tanks. During this process dry air will need to be forced into the tank. After completion of the repair, a vacuum will need to be pulled on the tanks; the oil will need to be heated before filling the tanks. After the tanks are filled the nitrogen blanket will need to be replaced. Upon completion of the repair and refilling of the transformer the tests specified in this document must be done.
