Specifications include, but are not limited to: The LEPC desires to initiate a two-phase planning project to increase the region’s preparedness for hazardous materials incidents. The first phase involves conducting research and interviews with selected RMP and EHS operators and private hazmat response companies to determine the number of trained response personnel and their level of training, type and quantity of hazmat response equipment and capability, and the existence of any private mutual aid agreements, then update the LEPC Plan where appropriate with this information; as well as querying the regional hazmat teams to confer/update information on capability. Mid America LEPC will provide contact information for hazmat teams, fire departments, and selected EHS/RMP facilities. The Consultant will conduct the survey of these entities and incorporate new information into the LEPC Plan. The second phase of the project involves conducting a table top exercise with first responders, selected facilities and private hazmat response companies (identified in Phase I) emergency managers, and community partners on emergency response to a hazardous materials incident.
