Specifications include, but are not limited to: i. All wastebaskets and trash receptacles are to be emptied. Refuse to be removed to a designated area on the premises by route specified by the District. ii. Dust tops of desks, tables, filing cabinets, sills, furniture, equipment, stairway railings, vending machines, and exposed flat surfaces with treated cloths that will not leave a film or residue. • The Contractor is not required to move papers and books in order to dust the tops of desks, tables, bookcases, and filing cabinets. • If there are books on top of the bookcases or filing cabinets, the Contractor will instruct his/her employees to dust around such books. • The Contractor’s employees are to move light office machines and the like and dust under them. Examples of light office machines and the like are: key boards, small calculators, “in and out” boxes, and telephones. This list is not all-inclusive. The following examples are “heavy” office machines, which would not be moved to dust under them: facsimile machines, personal computers, and scanners. Loose papers will not be moved to perform dusting.
