Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Description 1. This contract is for city-wide indefinite delivery indefinite quantifies landscaping services that is available to all City departments requiring landscaping services provided under this contract. 2. City sites require varying types and levels of detail for landscaping services and some site have specific landscaping maintenance plans that will be provided by the City representative. 3. Specific services and products at each location will be specified by the City representative. 4. The contract is for use on planned projects as well as when unforeseen situations arise which require expeditious service. 5. The City may hire multiple firms to provide landscaping services to the City. 6. Contractor shall not begin work until a Purchase Order for the work is issued and shall not provide any services in excess of the dollar amount contained in any Purchase Order B. General Requirements 1. This is a comprehensive service contract. Contractor must perform all work necessary utilizing acceptable horticultural practices for the exterior landscape maintenance as required herein. Many tasks are required and included, but are not limited to the following: a. Mowing, edging and trimming (1) The blades of grass shall be cut evenly, leaving no ragged edges. (2) The Contractor shall provide containers and will be responsible for the proper disposal of all grass clippings. (3) The clippings shall not be used as mulch, unless approved by the City representative designated for that location. (4) The turf shall not be mowed in the same direction each time because of patterns created on the turf. (5) The Contractor shall pick up and remove all trash, paper, glass, debris, and other litter from the area prior to mowing. (6) The Contractor will provide containers and will be responsible for the proper disposal of litter. b. Application of fertilizers c. Weed control in all plant beds (plant beds include tree rings, shrub beds, color beds, mulched beds with no plants, groundcover beds, perennial beds, etc.) d. Weed control in all expansion joints and cracks of walkways, parking lots, decomposed granite surfaces, concrete common areas, curbs, fence lines, and all paved areas e. Mulching, cultivating, and cleaning of plant beds
