Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Product- 3M Ultra 800 film or equivalent 8mm clear product. Any alternatives must provide a sample prior to award and installation. NKCSD is seeking installed pricing on product. b) Installation- Product shall be installed per 3M specification as attached in the RFP documentation. The security film should be installed on the interior and anchored/adhered to the frame. Installation must also adhere to any applicable laws, codes, and in accordance with industry best practices. Any discrepancy should be brought to attention to NKCSD personnel before commencement of work. c) Process- NKCSD will initiate the order and timing of work to be performed at each school. NKCSD will call a site meeting per school for the purpose of walking each job to determine the actual SOW per project as each school is unique and as such, will have unique requirements. Awarded contractor must have a local representative available to meet within 36 hours of requested site visit. There is not a predetermined schedule at this time, thus contractor must be available on an “as needed” basis. While NKCSD expects and values SOW suggestions from the contractor, NKCSD will be the sole determinant of the actual work to be performed. I. Per-job quote- From the site visit, the contractor shall provide a written proposal per school in accordance to the terms, specs, and quoted prices of the contract. II. Purchase Order- After receipt of quote, NKCSD will send a PO, per job. III. Work Schedule- Contractor shall work with NKCSD Security to schedule work being mindful of the unique nature of K-12 work and schedules. Contractor shall seek to perform work with as minimal distraction to the educational process as feasible. IV. Performance- In addition to specification provided by 3M (3.1b herein), contractor shall provide an adequate number of qualified personnel that is able to perform the work as prescribed. All personnel shall be background checked, badged, and must check in and out of NKCSD site-based security system. V. Completion and Sign-Off- Contractor shall complete work as prescribed and must leave work area as clean and orderly as found. Inspection should be scheduled with NKCSD Security contact as each job must be “signed-off” by NKCSD personnel before submitted for payment. d) Cost- Bidder shall submit turn-key cost per square foot for 3M Ultra 800 film or equivalent product. Quoted price must include product cost, freight, handling, plus all related installation costs including labor, tools, equipment, and customer service, which must meet prevailing wage requirements.
