Specifications include, but are not limited to: In order to determine how KCPS can better serve existing students and prospective students over the next decade, KCPS must first better understand both: a) Our customers (what drives their school enrollment decision-making; what do they know/how do they feel about our current school offerings; what changes are needed in order to retain them within KCPS and/or attract them to KCPS schools; etc.); b) Our competition (what differentiates them from KCPS that drives school enrollment decisions; what are their strengths/weaknesses; what is working that KCPS can learn from; etc.) and c) Our product (how is KCPS vs our school offerings perceived? What is needed to address district-wide brand perception vs product offerings to better attract/retain/win-back families?). KCPS is now soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide market research services that will provide additional insight about our customers, our competition and our product. This information, along with other assessment work, will help guide planning, outreach and decision-making during the Blueprint 2030 process, with the goal of identifying system-level changes that KCPS can make to ensure all children living within the KCPS boundaries have access to a quality Pre-K through 12 educational experience and graduate ready for college, career and life. The market research will also inform day-to-day decision-making, staff trainings, client interactions, general communications, and marketing efforts.
