Specifications include, but are not limited to: ➢ Provide material and installation for a 96 in. (8ft) tall, 9-gauge, 2 in. galvanized chain link fence to meet ASTM standards as outlined in the attached drawing specifying location. ➢ Total approximate length of the new fencing is 417 feet - 269 feet of new 8ft fencing and replacing148 feet of 4 ft high fencing with 8 ft high fencing. Also removing approximately 72 feet of 4ft fencing because of the expansion of the dock. The vendor is responsible to verify and identify the quantity as part of their bid response. ➢ Provide the appropriate quantity Material to support and Install the requested fencing. The width of any single fence section should not exceed 10 feet. ➢ Posts shall be set plumb in concrete footings in accordance with ASTM F567. A minimum of 30” depth required. Concrete for post footings shall have a 28-day compressive strength of 2,500 psi. Top of concrete footing to be at grade crowned to shed water away from the post. Line posts installed at intervals not exceeding 10 ft. (3.05 m) on center. ➢ Tension wires shall be installed 4 in. (101.6 mm) up from the bottom of the fabric. Fences without top rail shall have a tension wire installed 4 in. (101.6 mm) down from the top of the fabric. Tension wire to be stretched taut, independently and prior to the fabric, between the terminal posts and secured to the terminal post using a brace band. Secure the tension wire to each line post with a tie wire. ➢ Provide Four (4) swing gates-10ft wide, for 2 separate entries into the Dock. The total width for each location will be 20ft wide with the hardware to place a padlock between each set of 2 gates to secure them.
