Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide construction documents for the breakwater design, to include the sidewalk on top of the rubble mound as specified in the attached report and also the concept plan, for the water access at the Grand Marais Municipal Campground to include: Within 15 days of receiving notice to proceed with this phase, meet and confer with DNR Parks & Trails personnel, the DNR Project Manager, and other interested parties to discuss rubble mound breakwater design and design schedule prior to commencement of design. Utilize existing topographic and bathymetric survey data and plans used in preparation of Feasibility Study. Coordinate and comply with all regulating governmental units such as city, county, township, state, and federal agencies, etc. Complete extreme wave event numeric model of the marina basin for 50 year and 100 year waves, water level, and storm surge. Provide two alternatives on the structure survivability for the agreed to extensive event. Calculate maximum wave height within proposed rubble mound breakwall structure in the vicinity of the boat ramp. Provide listing of permits needed and enough detail to allow the sponsor to apply and secure all permits required associated with the breakwater. 6. Soil Borings and Geotechnical Report A minimum of three soil borings are requested. Restoration of Site All soil borings shall be backfilled in accordance with prevailing state and / or local regulations. Excess cuttings from the boreholes shall be spread evenly around the bore hole.
