Specifications include, but are not limited to: Under Minnesota Statutes, section 246B.03, Subd. 2, MSOP is statutorily obligated to conduct annual program evaluations conducted by three national experts in the field of treating individuals who have caused sexual harm. These three individuals must be licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical therapists, or other mental health treatment providers with established and recognized training and experience in the assessment and treatment of adult sexual abusers. They will need to review and identify relevant information and evidence-based best practices and methodologies for effectively assessing, and treating individuals who are civilly committed as Sexually Dangerous Person or Sexual Psychopathic Personality.
