Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Tenant shall be familiar with the prairie land area and local conditions affecting the work including project site and surrounding area, means of access, potential obstacles, and vegetation composition. Constructive knowledge of the project area by visiting the site is strongly recommended prior to preparing a quote. The County will not be responsible for any change in anticipated profits or equipment damage resulting from such failure or neglect. 2.Haying: During the license period, the Tenant shall cut, bale, and remove the prairie vegetation in designated haying units. All mowed vegetation must be baled and removed from the site. The vegetation must be mowed to a height of 3-8” averaged across the site, and bales must be removed within two weeks unless otherwise agreed upon by the Tenant and Washington County Natural Resource Coordinator. 3.Mid-Summer Hay: Between July 3 and August 1 the Tenant shall cut, bale and remove prairie vegetation in designated haying units. All mowed vegetation must be baled and removed from the site. The vegetation must be mowed to a height of 3-8” averaged across the site, and bales must be removed within two weeks unless otherwise agreed upon by the Tenant and Washington County Natural Resource Coordinator.
