Specifications include, but are not limited to: Laboratory Analysis of Diquat and Endothall contaminants in drinking water samples to meet the regulatory requirements of the Chemical Phase II/V rule and other contaminants. To comply with the Chemical Phase II/V Rules, community public water systems (PWS) and non-transient non-community PWS must sample at each entry point to the distribution system for Diquat and Endothall. The MDH DWP Section is responsible for the implementation of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and safeguarding the quality of drinking water in Minnesota. The DWP Program protects public health by ensuring that drinking meets the national standards at all public water supplies, which are those that serve water to the public.
