Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sweeping Schedule - It is the intent of the Genesee County Road Commission to sweep curb & gutter subdivision streets throughout Genesee County's 17 Townships one time between April - September 30. The paved areas shall be free of all dirt and debris. All drainage inlets shell be free of debris following sweeping. One Unit shall equal one ( 1) mile of curb sweeping as described on the Log of Swee:1~ing Sheet and on the pricing as an attachment to the agreement. Any debris that cannot be removed by mechanical sweeping, but can be picked up by one person, shall be collected by hand or other means before sweeping and disposed of in a class two landfill. Debris that cannot be picked up by one person shall be reported to the Maintenance Director. Examples of debris that cannot be removed by mechanical sweepers include, but are not limited to: rocks, bricks, bottles, tree limbs and sticks. Examples of debris that can be removed by mechanical sweepers include, but are not limited to: dirt, paper and leaf piles less than eight (8) inches in depth. Callout Sweeping - 1. Sweeping as required for preparation of sealcoating or asphalt overlay projects, etc. 2. Sweeping of open type intersections as requested. 3. Sweeping of gravel spills or accident type spills where clean-off is required 4. Some areas to be swept more than once at Genesee County Road Commission's request. Sweeping shall be started no later than three (3) days after being requested by designated representative(s) of the Genesee County Road Commission, and the project must be completed before moving on to another project unless mechanical failure or adverse weather interferes. Street Sweeping - The Contractor is responsible for disposal of all sweeping debris in accordance with all Federal and State statutes. Street sweepings and other debris removed from county roads shall be disposed at a licensed Type II landfill. Sweepings shall not be stored or stockpiled on Road Commission property or right of way at any time. This material is not considered hazardous waste and does not require a manifest. The Contractor, however, must provide documentation to the Maintenance Director that the material was disposed in this manner. The Contractor should be aware that some landfills require testing. All costs to dispose of the material, as well as required tests by the landfill owner, will be paid by the Contractor and be included in the bid price
