However, other tier 1 manufacturers will be accepted and considered. 1.3.1.2. All switches must have 48-ports with 4 SFP ports either shared or dedicated. 1.3.1.3. District edge switches should be fully layer 2 capable with basic layer 3 capabilities. 1.3.1.4. No stack configurations will be considered due to monitoring limitations with stack configurations and available open-source monitoring solutions. No proprietary switch monitoring solutions will be considered. 1.3.1.5. Switches must be completely or fully manageable (SNMP, GUI, Telnet/SSH/Console). Physical console ports should be either standard RS-232 serial or USB. 1.3.1.6. Switches must be able to support Quality-of-Service (QoS) in a IP Telephony / Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) environment. 1.3.1.7. Switches must have “port mirroring” or “analyzer port” support. 1.3.1.8. System must integrate with Saginet Network and System Monitoring Software (OpManager). 1.3.1.9. District Core Switch must support NetFlow or sFlow. 1.3.1.10. Support for 802.1q VLAN Tagging.
