Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Description of Service The LP Skid shall be designed for an expected useful life of 30 years. Components for which 30 years’ life expectancy cannot be reasonably assured shall be designed and installed to permit safe and convenient replacement. Contractor shall provide a list identifying the design life of all components not designed for the specified service life with his proposal. 3.2 Equipment shall be fully assembled and skid mounted with all interconnecting piping for connection to Purchaser’s gas system as noted on bid documents. 3.3 Materials - Match existing skid standards. Material selection for other components shall be as follows: Structural Skid A-36, A992 Piping & Valves Refer to Section 3.4 below for this specification 3.4 Piping and Valve Requirements – Match existing skid Contractor shall supply all necessary piping, isolation and control valves and fittings for all fuel gas, vent piping. All piping connections shall terminate with flanged or socket weld connections at the edge of the skids. The material and fabrication of all skid fuel gas piping and connections to equipment shall conform to ASME B31.1. Materials of construction shall be in accordance with Appendix B and as follows: Fuel Gas Line Spec AAA – 150# Class CS lines Line Spec BAA – 300# Class CS lines Pressure Class used shall be consistent with Contractor’s standards: Instrument/Control Air, and Process sensing lines Line Spec EHA-SS Tubing Skid piping shall be designed and fabricated to minimize and eliminate the possibility of gas leakage and provide for individual isolation for instruments and downstream piping without causing a system shutdown to isolate a leak or make repairs. Gas connections shall be flanged. Bolt holes for flanged connections shall straddle lines parallel to the main horizontal or vertical centerline of the equipment, and shall be indicated on Contractor’s drawings. Gas piping on the skid shall be sized for a maximum gas velocity of 3,500 feet per minute per API. All threaded openings not connected to piping shall be plugged with steel plugs. Threads shall be lubricated. All piping furnished by Contractor shall be installed and supported on the compressor skid. Piping shall provide proper flexibility and easy accessibility for operator maintenance and cleaning.
