Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. In-person and telephonic interpreters and translators to occur at a County office, a client’s home, or any other location as needed for the provision of services. b. Interpreters and translators trained and certified according to professional & ethical standards, and who are experienced working with clients from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Translation services must be accurate as well as culturally and linguistically appropriate. c. Interpreters and translators must be able to accurately translate oral communication involving two or more individuals. Some meetings may be emotional in nature and will require interpreters to provide interpretation in difficult situations (domestic issues, medical issues, etc.) d. Respondents must provide unlimited twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week, and three hundred sixty-five (365) days a year access to multilingual interpreting and translation services. Multilingual interpreting and translation services must be available for scheduled and unscheduled sessions potentially within short notice given by the County.
