Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education is seeking bids on the preparation and delivery of lunches at the various Head Start locations. 1. MEAL REQUIREMENTS: A. The Vendor will provide lunch, milk, condiments and transportation for approximately 317 students. Meals to be delivered in bulk form. B. All meals provided shall conform with the minimum meal requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Michigan Department of Education, Child and Adult Care Food Program for those meals and for the age group served (Ages 3, 4 and 5). C. The Vendor shall be liable for meals, which do not meet nutritional requirements, are spoiled, or unwholesome at the time of delivery. Vendor shall provide either CNN labels or production reports for all entree's provided, when awarded the contract. 2. DELIVERY, ORDERING: A. Delivery of lunches will be made to the Head Start dining sites by 10:30 a.m. each day that food is served. B. The School Food Authority (SFA) Representative shall provide the Vendor with the number of lunches needed each day at the beginning of the program year. If adjustments in the meal numbers need made, the SFA Representative will notify the Vendor of these changes well in advance of the needed changes.
