Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Building Department shall be contacted and a Demolition Permit obtained by the Contractor BEFORE the work is started. Verify all property lines to avoid trespassing on private property. If any part of any street or public sidewalk will be obstructed by, or used for the purpose of the demolition work, approved barriers shall be erected to protect the public. Such barriers shall be in place before commencement of demolition. The City of Midland will be responsible for coordination of phone, cable, gas, and electric utility termination with the providers. (Contractor should verify termination before starting demolition.) All Structures shall be removed including, roofs, walls, floors, foundation walls, basement and or crawl space floors, footings, piers, posts, and any debris inside of the structures. All sewer and water lines are to be removed to the property line and securely capped in a manner approved by the City of Midland Water Department. Locate the end of sewer lines with measurements to at least three (3) permanent reference points and submit with the final invoice. Remove all exterior debris, construction material, and downed limbs. Remove large tree in front yard. Remove all ground level concrete on premises, including slabs, walks, steps, porches, foundations, gravel driveways and approaches.
