Earthwork; utilities; mechanical; underground infrastructure (conduits, vaults, stormwater, main water, drainage, etc.); concrete foundations; grading and drainage; lighting; planters; fencing; paving surfaces including stone pavers; planting and irrigation; site furnishings; event and performance sound; and signage. The Monroe Streetscape Project will provide a refined permanent and improved streetscape for the main corridor of Greektown. Our goal is to establish a broad palette of experiential strategies which includes: • Wide pedestrian-only zones for meandering • Human-scaled and plentiful vegetation • High density and diversity of lighting • Signature district/street signage • Premium paving • Street furniture • Dedicated and expanded spaces for private business outdoor patios • De-emphasized separation between street and sidewalk • Emphasized separation between sidewalk and surface parking lots • Dedicated areas for drop-offs/pick-ups • Multi-modal transit integration and prioritization • Culture, heritage, and art opportunities integration
