Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Genetec Access Control Expansion 1.1. Project Intent 1.1.1. Thornapple Kellogg Schools has an extensive access control system that is primarily run on S2 access control hardware. We are looking to rip-and-replace our existing S2 access control system with a fully functional Genetec access control system to improve our physical security posture by combining our access control systems with our security camera system, reducing administrative overhead with role based access control, upgrading our secured vestibules, and adding access control portals. 1.2. Centralize Door Control Hardware 1.2.1. The intent of this project is to centralize as much as possible all of our access control hardware into one location in each building. Currently our S2 hardware is spread throughout each building creating complications with locations and access hardware when problems occur. Additionally, wiring for doors, lockdown indicators, etc. goes to various locations in each building and our documentation on the wiring is suboptimal. For that reason, a major part of this project is rewiring all of our access control hardware to the centralized locations and removing all of the old wiring where possible. 2. Genetec Software and Access Control Requirements 2.1. Genetec Server and Licensing 2.1.1. TK has an existing Genetec Server that currently hosts all of our security cameras and some existing Genetec Access Control. The awarded bidder will use our existing Genetec instance to integrate all new access control portals and hardware. 2.1.2. TK will work with the awarded bidder to expand the existing Genetec server as needed. 2.2. Door and security camera integration 2.2.1. TK currently has 158 cameras in our existing Genetec system. 2.2.2. The awarded bidder will work with TK to set up triggers, alerts, and indicators on camera views so that when a door is unlocked via badge swipe, a marker is placed on the camera indicating that an unlock event occurred and shows the badge identification and picture of the card that was used to unlock the door. 2.3. Genetec Security Desk Maps and Access Control Doors 2.3.1. The awarded bidder will work with TK to set up maps in Genetec Security Desk that allow for easy viewing and alerting for access control doors. 2.4. Cardholder and Credential Information 2.4.1. The awarded bidder will work with TK to expand the already existing Active Directory integration to provide roles based access control for each area and specified doors. 3. Door and System Hardware Specifications 3.1. General Door and System Hardware Specifications 3.1.1. The bidder will provide a coherent and functional design regarding hardware and licensing for each building with the specifications below. 3.1.2. Refer to the maps in Appendix A and the tables below for each building for specific counts regarding hardware 3.2. Card Reader Specifications 3.2.1. The bidder will specify HID Signo 20 readers for all new readers. 3.2.2. See maps and tables below for specific counts regarding new readers.
