Specifications include, but are not limited to: Late May - June: The Contractor must use Diver Assisted Suction Harvesting (DASH) to hand remove Eurasian watermilfoil and starry stonewort from DNR-owned boating access sites. No more than 4.14 acres across the three sites can be mechanically controlled. All plant materials, including roots, bulbils, or fragments, must be collected and contained. Turbidity curtains must be used to prevent off-site siltation or dispersal of invasive plant fragments. All DASH crew members must complete online tutorials for Eurasian watermilfoil and starry stonewort through the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (www.misin.msu.edu). All removed vegetation must be disposed in an upland/non-wetland area, to be determined with DNR staff. The Contractor must ensure that recreational boater access continues to be available throughout the treatment while maintaining safety.
