Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified Contractors to provide repairs of city vehicles and equipment; off-city property and on-city property on an as needed basis for various city departments. Approved vendors will be responsible for towing police vehicles to their service garage if necessary. 1. Contractor’s facility must be within a 15 minute drive from the City’s downtown area to accommodate emergency fleet vehicles that shall not be out of service for more than reasonably possible. Contractor must be available to tow vehicles & equipment on a 24/7 basis and be able to respond within one hour of notification. 2. Contractor may be required to service a vehicle/equipment at the location of breakdown. 3. Contractor may be required, from time to time, to tow and service/repair vehicles and/or equipment to it’s own facility at the direction of the Department of Public Works Director or his/her designee.
