Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Hold initial meeting(s) with Board of Selectmen (BoS) and Planning Board (PB) to gather Board expectations, concerns, preferences, etc. 2. Gather information from other stakeholders, including but not limited to Schools, Library/WAIC, Conservation Commission, Historical Commission, Recreation Commission, Town Center Implementation Committee, Friends of the JST, Rail Trail Advisory Committee, Weston Forest & Trail, Department of Public Works, and Building Inspector. The Town will be responsible for designating the stakeholders to be consulted (expected to be no more than 15), and the consultant will be responsible for gathering feedback and scheduling meetings (or arranging to attend public meetings already being held by stakeholder entities, as part of the posted agenda) as necessary. 3. Provide and discuss summary of feedback and initial concepts/directives with Town Project Team consisting of: Chris Houston, Board of Selectmen Chair; Alicia Primer, Planning Board Member; Leon Gaumond, Town Manager; and Imaikalani Aiu, Town Planner. 4. Produce initial draft of guidelines based on above for review and revisions with Bos/PB. Guidelines are intended to be used across multiple Town agencies and locations and so should provide overall thematic guidance, provide direction for applying the desired thematic elements and considerations, and provide a reasonable process for the development of Town Signs. It is not intended for the consultant to design sets of Town Signs for actual usage, since these are intended to be guidelines for others to use in developing Town Signs, not prescriptions or requirements; however, it is likely that specific designs could be helpfully included in the guidelines as samples or illustrations of the guidelines or specific provisions.
