Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Property History The Police Department previously occupied the building for 75 years before moving to their new space on Humphrey Street in 2013. The majority of the space has been vacant since. The Historical Commission currently uses part of the first floor as a storage area and meeting space, and a private ambulance service leases part of the rear of the building. 2) Property Statistics The property is designated as Map 1, Lot 135A on the Town Assessors’ maps and comprises 0.634 acres of land, more or less. The property description includes the Town’s Fire Department building, which is not a part of the RFI. 3) Zoning and Other Restrictions Interested parties should review the zoning and other permitting requirements within the A3 Residential District in the Town’s Zoning By-Laws. Respondents are welcome to present creative concepts that may require zoning changes but should outline the zoning change that would be required.
