Specifications include, but are not limited to: Three sampling points will be established at the four primary sites. These points will be used throughout the entire sampling window. Each point will be separated by at least 250m, and when possible, will be selected to include a diverse representation of barrens communities within each site. The number of traps used at a site may be reduced in consultation with NHESP. Blacklight bucket traps will be used for sampling. A gaseous kill agent such as ethyl acetate will be used in all traps. Traps will be set out at dusk or prior and collected after sunrise the following morning. Traps should only be deployed on calm nights without predicted heavy precipitation. When practical, nights within six days of a full moon will be avoided (unless it’s predicted to be cloudy to mostly cloudy): however, it’s more important to keep the trapping schedule, and therefore nights within six days of a full moon may be utilized, if necessary;
