Specifications include, but are not limited to: Men’s Public Restroom 1. Clean and prepare floor to apply floor leveler to redirect water from the urinal “area” of the floor toward the existing floor drain. 2. Prepare floor to receive new floor finish. Floor Finish product cut sheets are attached. Due to existing epoxy coated floor, include the BP bonding agent to the primer, per manufacturer recommendations. 3. Submit color chart prior to beginning work for owner to review and choose final color and pattern. Allow 1 week for owner to make selection when coordinating work and ordering of materials to prevent delays in the completion of the work. 4. Apply the new floor finish as a complete installation, to include all necessary tools, labor, materials, etc. 5. Upon completion and final curing of finish, return to provide a final cleaning and inspection of completed work. Any touchups or punch-list work will need to be addressed promptly to reduce any delays in reopening the restrooms for public use. The contractor will have ten business days, from start to finish, to accomplish the scope of work per restroom. 6. All plumbing fixtures and bathroom partitions will be removed and reinstalled by others. The flooring contractor is responsible for cutting in all floor drains, removal of and replacement of existing drain covers (as needed). Included in the floor refinishing is carrying the coating up the sidewall (baseboard) approximately 7”- 8” and providing a clean seam to the existing marble thresholds. 7. All work shall be completed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations. 8. The flooring contractor is responsible for protecting the existing walls, doors, door trim, or other finishes within and without the restroom from overspray or splatter due to the application of the product. 9. Onsite storage of equipment, tools, and materials is limited. We cannot guarantee a storage location on the same level as the restrooms. The contractor is responsible for the removal of all waste debris, etc. caused by the work. No trash or hazardous or flammable/combustible materials can be stored onsite or left behind. 10. The contractor is responsible for protecting the site once work begins and until the work is complete. The City intends to remove the doors during this time to have work completed on them during the time the restrooms are out of service.
