Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Krug Sugarbush in Chesterfield consists of 14 acres of land containing trees suitable for maple sugaring activities. All maple sugaring activity is limited to the area identified on the maps attached hereto as Exhibit A, and referred to herein as the “Premises.” The Premises is not currently bound by fencing or other barriers. Some locations have not been surveyed recently. DCR does not guarantee the accuracy of acreage numbers, existence of any barrier lines, or road conditions. DCR staff will review the Premises with proposers at the mandatory site visit/walkthrough. Installations such as solar panels, poles, fencing, sheds, platforms, storage units; the use of animals; and scheduling of events by the Proposer, etc., in or near the Premises will require additional written pre-approval from DCR. A plot plan or survey prepared by the Proposer may be required to show the location of any proposed installations, animal placement or use, or where events will be held. There is no access for the Proposer to any DCR structure, equipment, or utilities. Proposer shall provide all its own equipment and utilities. Generators for electric power will only be allowed to operate during day light hours under the onsite supervision of the Permittee. Because environmental education is a high priority for the DCR, the selected Permittee may be requested to participate in an interpretive program and/or to provide interpretive signage that supports the goals of both the selected Permittee and DCR.
