Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal of all live and dead (if identifiable) Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) host material within the flagged boundary down to 1” in diameter Infested Trees (4 Total) ALB Program will be removing trees prior to operation Contractor must grind all infested tree stumps 6” below grade Deregulating (chipping/grinding) of trees and other woody debris on site Repairing damage to property including stone walls, fence lines, historical features, utility lines, survey bounds, etc. Hiring a police detail if necessary Following Massachusetts Forestry Best Management Practices The contractor will make all attempts to preserve and protect non-host trees, regeneration, and other resource areas from damage on site. The contractor is responsible for disposing of deregulated material offsite. Oversized host material not able to fit into chipper/grinder will be transferred to the USDA/DCR disposal yard for processing during hours of operation at the direction of DCR.
