Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful bidder will source a minimum of 30,000 megawatt hours of Green-e RECs on behalf of theCity. The RECs will be for calendar year 2020. The successful bidder shall also be required, on an asneeded basis, to provide documentation to the City for the purpose of qualifying purchased RECs for creditunder the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program of the U.S. Green Building Council(USGBC) for certain municipal building projects. The City shall not be required to pay an additionalamount for the provision of any such documentation. For each project the City will require the executionof a separate purchase agreement that fulfills the requirements of LEED NC 2009 EAc6, and that specifiesthe amount of RECs that need to be retired to earn the desired LEED points. The purchase agreement willnot be for the purchase of additional RECs under the contract: the City will make only one REC purchaseduring the contract term. Rather the purchase agreement will be used to certify that the stated number ofRECs supplied by the winning bidder under this procurement are being retired in the name of theproject(s).
