The Town of Yarmouth is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the transportation and disposal of sludge cake generated by the Yarmouth Septage Plant. The Work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the transportation and final disposal of up to 2,500 wet tons of sludge cake per year, as defined in the Bid Sheet (priced per wet ton). The sludge must be hauled off-site in its entirety as sludge cake. The sludge produced by the facility contains approximately 20% solids and consists of a mixture of primary sludge, waste-activated sludge, and septage. The Town maintains significant on-site storage capacity for sludge. All hauling operations must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements related to transportation, vehicle safety, and spillage control.
