Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Mental Health (DMH) through this RFA, is seeking applications from existing ACCS contractors capable of expanding one or more their ACCS contracts by adding to such contracts one or more of ACCS Intensive Group Living Environments (IGLEs); The goal of this RFA is to increase community capacity. The priority is for adding Enhanced Medical GLE to Contracts, to expand options for individuals who are transitioning or diverting from skilled nursing facilities. 1.1.1 Enhanced Medical GLE The Enhanced Medical GLE is aimed to meet and support the daily needs of adults with chronic medical conditions, terminal illnesses and/or disabilities which are impacted by their significant mental illness. It is also intended to maintain, prevent, or slow the worsening of conditions as well as assist in transitioning adults to lower levels of care settings and prevent hospitalization/nursing facility admissions. The Enhanced Medical GLE model have three (3) different capacities: 3-6 beds; 7-9 bed and 10-12 beds. The model is described in more detail in Section 4 of the RFA. An Applicant may propose to provide anyone of the three sizes. The rates for the Enhanced Medical GLE Model are Chapter 257 (Acts of 2008) rates and are part of 101 CMR 426.00: Rates for Certain Adult Community Mental Health Services.
