Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Phase I shall include all work associated with Housing Unit No. 4 and shall be substantially completed within the next three hundred and fifty (350) calendar days: 1) Complete replacement of the existing exterior window system at HU 4. 2) All existing exterior doors shall be replaced and all entrances to these doors including steps and landing shall be renovated to meet current building codes for HU 4. 3) Replace all existing mechanical room doors in HU 4. 4) Convert the existing heating system utilizing hot water radiant floor panel to hydronic baseboard heating system in HU 4. The existing hot water piping embedded in the slab shall be dried, capped and abandoned in place. 5) Replace the existing steam to hot water conversion system including associated heat exchanger, distribution pump, piping and valving in HU 4. The equipment and piping are located in the basement mechanical room. 6) Replace all existing exhaust fans and ventilation fans located on the roof of HU 4. The existing roof curbs shall be reused. Replace exhaust fan wiring and controls. 7) Replacement/relocation of existing supply air ductwork and insulation in crawlspaces of HU 4 to accommodate better access for maintenance personnel. 8) Provide and install split system air conditioning units in HU 4. 9) Replace interior doors in HU 4. 10) Replace interior stairwell doors at HU 4. The new doors shall include a “tear gas can slot”.
